Birth star map for a new baby
The stars that were above the hospital, or the house, at the minute your baby arrived: a first portrait of the world they were born into.
Real star positions for any place, date and time. Design for free; downloading the print files needs an Etsy order.
Time and place of birth
The exact minute
Take it from the hospital records or the baby's name band. Births at night show a full sky; a daytime birth shows the stars hidden behind the daylight.
The place
The town of the hospital or of the home birth.
Weight and length
Put them in the subtitle next to the name, the way birth announcements do: “Leo · 3.4 kg · 51 cm”.
Words for your poster
Title, subtitle and message: three ideas to start from, all editable in the studio.

For the nursery
Soft colours such as dusty rose, sage or dusty blue suit a nursery wall; 8 × 10 in, A4 and 12 × 16 in fit standard frames.
A thoughtful present for new parents too: ask for the time of birth and you'll have the only gift in the pile that is about the night itself.
